  • We challenged chefs of three different levels - an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef - to make their versions of french fries. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which fries were the best?

    I think this would be neat if the Level 3 chef was given a time limit. "I want to eat this stuff tonight" kinda thing. See them work in their element; in an actual kitchen with actual customers ordering food.

    I just peel and cut the potatoes, leave them in water for 1 minute and then shallow fry them in olive oil. Great almost every time.
