  • We challenged chefs of three different levels - an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef - to make their versions of steak. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which steak was the best?

    I expected an overbearing dry rub from level 1, I even expected a heavy sauce from a level 2, but all that flavor and tang poured on top a good quality steak from level 3?
    Just use a cheap pork chop or chicken breast and it will taste the same

    Thats... One way to make a bernaise. Certainly requires less manpower than what I do. I just HAAATE cleaning blenders so much, I prefer to do it the old fashioned way.

    1 is using a cheap cut and the rub is masking the bad taste. 2 is using a better cut but still not the best Plus she uses blue cheese Too strong a flavor that hides the steak taste. 3 You've been to France and you make a so called Béarnaise? That's is not so. Terrible sauce. You don't need butter and garlic and thyme then cover with that nightmare of a pretend Béarnaise. Maybe the taste is OK but don't call it Béarnaise. Then add sweet lemon and mushroom powder???? OMG
