First off, that looks delicious. And second I can relate but on the other end. I'm an ambitious person and worked hard to get where I am and still wanting more but my ex's always demanded more of me. Mostly financially and then one sided "favors". I was not only expected to provide but clean, cook, and transport at their call; regardless of schedule. If I asked even for a nap, it was seen as an act of laziness or a personal attack on them.

      Sagnik Mondal 2 days ago

@Sewn Kin Actually, that's not true in the long run. A shared set of values or principles represent intellectual compatibility which is the only thing really that stands thr test of time. Every thing else including physical attraction or sexual compatibility is too much of a short order parameter, to hold any relationship together past the infatuation or honeymoon period. The perfect scenario is that by the time the infatuation wears off, you can't imagine not having the other's personality, opinions, support and conversation in your life.

    • Can't_snap
      Can't_snap 3 days ago

@Ruben Van der Straaten Wow what a horrible and patronising comment, you are aware that there are some families out there that spend their *entire* pay checks every month to keep the lights on and their children fed, yes? I know some parents who had to skip meals to make sure their kid could have breakfast. You don't know someone's circumstances so don't assume that just because you were lucky enough to be born into a family that could afford to stow away money every month that everyone else does too

    • a k
      a k 10 days ago

      What would you choose?
All the money in the world OR all the love possible from your parents?
You see in my world money has nothing to do with how privileged a person is.
Most people see a young rich kid and say, that kid is privileged, now imagine if his/her parent dont give any love to the kid or even abuse their kid, would you still say that kid is privileged because he/she can buy things?
Nah real privilege is when people love you, no matter how rich or poor you are.
Then again nowadays it seems like more and more people would choose money over love, I can just feel sorry for thoose people.

Great advice, something I have used for years. I remember on one date at a restaurant, the girl I was seeing just started to attack the waiters and bar staff, demanding to see the chef and when he came out, told him it was the worst food she'd ever eaten. As leaving the place she called the cloakroom attendant incompetent for taking too long. Blew my mind!

A huge part of dating is actually learning or relearning about yourself at the same time. It’s also a trial and error thing. Trust the process. Somehow somewhere out of nowhere it just works out so don’t rush it.

    • Roshill
      Roshill 3 days ago

@A. Neufeld Entire cultures is Asia is based on helping their daughter find the best man for her. A good dad who's had alot of experience can decern in seconds if the person is actually into you and will provide for you or use you and leave.
Females are generally agreeable and won't be able to give you sound advice unless she is a realistic woman.
Men who don't want to get with you Father/brother will never lie to you.

Me as a man I see through everything. I don't lead with my wallet. It's easy to tell a woman's motivation but, yeah most men can't discern what manipulative game she is playing it's all about experience.

    • A. Neufeld
      A. Neufeld 10 days ago

@Roshill There is some truth to that. I'm a woman and I'm pretty good at figuring out the intent of other women. Sometimes men date women who are so clearly manipulative or very shallow, and I wonder how they don't see through it. Yet I can be naive too when it comes to figuring out men :P

This is why I think it's generally a good idea to ask friends/family what they think of your partner before you're in too deep, regardless of gender.

    • wakemeup38
      wakemeup38 11 days ago +4

"Trust the process" you mean the process started by corporations to dupe people, particularly men, into spending more money while destroying the once stable family structure in it's wake? No thanks.

When dating didn't exist most marriages actually lasted longer than a few months and people were sincerely attached to their spouses. Divorces and children from single parents are a bane to society. This "process" needs to be destroyed and replaced

    • Roshill
      Roshill 11 days ago +14

You don't "trust the process" you use the experienced males in your family to get the best results. They can easily weed out the weak candidates that will ruin your lives.

My deal breaker would be someone who doesn't make me feel comfortable.
I categorize people into 2 groups, ones that give me energy and ones that take away my energy. So they might not be bad people... Might even be good, but if I have to constantly mentally prepare myself before meeting someone, then clearly they don't make me feel comfortable.
If I'm meeting someone, and just thinking of them makes me smile and happy, then those are the people I choose to surround myself with. Its the same when I make friends as well.

@Visassess i dont see where she is trying to be relatable also there is nothing wrong with being privileged but the problem with her is the spoiled brat attitude and her spoiled brat of lifestyle.
Ofcourse she wont understand anyone who is realy working towards to be someone to better their own life or the life of their family, she never had to.

My mom likes to tell me that she told herself she was gonna marry a tall, white guy with blue eyes and dark hair like Superman. Then she laughs and says, “and I went and married a short, brown Mexican.” She loves my dad, sometimes the perfect person isnt what you planned for.

@Clen diet Oh, almost forgot, no kids as I tend to stay away from brunette females who has kids as I'm very picky who I go out with. It's getting harder and harder to find someone without kids. You can add that to your racism critique of me.

    • Say Soun
      Say Soun 2 days ago

@Clen diet White people with brunette hair. If you're going there than at least list the brunette portion as I'm not into blondes, redheads, platinum and other colors. Sorry, I only find whites with brunettes attractive so, like I said before, I'm not dating anyone I don't find attractive. I'm not wasting my time. Edit: My bad, it's just not white people I find attractive, it's any females who's a brunette that I find attractive and always had ever since I was like 10 years old.

@Egg Everybody has a preference regardless of what they might think. What kind of cars did you like and what color. Do you like brick houses or not? Do you want a two story or one story house? What kind of shoes do you like and what color? I just think brunettes looks awesome as I'm not attracted to anybody else. I'm not going to bother trying to date someone I'm not attracted to as it's just pointless.

Going to work every day to pay for tuition isn’t working class. That’s just middle class. Working class is someone who is very poor but still works and usually claim benefits.

    • Carrie Hemmo
      Carrie Hemmo Day ago

I think the defintion of working class is dependant on where you're from. In the uk as the defintion is broad lots of people identify to it. For me I see it as usually being dependant on the job you do for example labour intensive jobs and/or jobs where you have minimal qualifications. But people in the same household can belong to different class brackets depending on the job they do or education they have.

@Caleb Foxhoven i’d like to add, there are women that think they can “change” men. that isn’t usually a good place to start and you will usually be disappointed. also,my take wasn’t that she wants a “pussy” for a man either. if someone has a way of being you don’t particularly like, how long should you wait around hoping things might change or be better in some way? i think she’s just saying there are people that have a very specific personality and mindset that she realized, in practical everyday terms, she isn’t fond of.

    • Daniel Whitehurst
      Daniel Whitehurst Day ago +4

@Caleb Foxhoven ur right u didnt say that, so instead plz explain what "I wish we started realizing that men have a tendency to be that way and it requires a good women to balance that out. Not my problem to fix" means. Cuz to me that looks like ur saying men have a tendency to act like douchebags since what she was addressing in the video was ambitious men acting like assholes. And off of this claim, requiring a woman to fix that is beyond the weakest mindset I could think of. But if you have an explanation of what u meant in that specific comment then I'm willing to hear it.

    • Caleb Foxhoven
      Caleb Foxhoven Day ago

@Daniel Whitehurst I never said that. I was arguing that based on the video the only thing I can take from it is that she wants a man that is a pussy. When we will stop fearing strong men? I take responsibilities seriously. I have a serious job and take care of my entire family. I don’t need to defend myself because my actions speak enough. All I said was that this video shows the exact opposite of that. Weak women who are scared of strong men.

It's cool you have your preference like everyone. We all started somewhere don't hate on others that have more or less than you. Other people in less sophisticated places view you as you see others. Just be enjoyable with others help where you can.
