I worked the census the last time & there were a few households that did not want to give me their information. I'd imagine there will be many more this time. In fact, I may refuse to offer my information simply because I can't stands Herr Drumpf!

Look, I get it. Trump is an idiot. Republicans are regularly fiddling with things, attempting to consolidate power. But it is painful to watch people assume that the Democrats AREN'T also corrupt to the core and always trying to consolidate power. They're politicians too. They're ALSO guilty of gerrymandering. They're the other end of the same crap-covered stick. They're taking advantage of all of us. And they've done an excellent job of distracting a significant portion of populace into thinking that Republicans are the only problem.
It's amazing how hypocritical people are, and how short their memories are when it comes to recognizing the corruption that permeates both parties. Until people stop cheering at emotionally-charged grandstanding so they can feel self-righteous and virtue signal, the pendulum is going to continue swinging between to piles of garbage. Right now, it's the republicans. We oust them from office, and things turn to crap again under a Democrat-led government. Then people vote back in the terrible republicans because they forgot how terrible they were, ad nauseum.
    It's depressing.

13:09 I absolutely HATE those misleading photos of doctors and politicians. Like this "redistrictig" guy. His photo shows a well-groomed man in a slightly wrinkled suit who you would politely uninvite to a dinner. In reality he is an angry dwarf with fluffy hair and a round fat face. WHY do you let photographers do this to you!? Can't you see disappointment on people's faces when they meet you in person?!

Do an Article about KVC privetized child welfare services. And it's sketchy business practices. Especially in the State of Kansas...
They claim to operate on a "it's for the children" census-based Count largely on children under 5years old. That are either non-counted or go uncounted... But that's only a sliver of their problems.
They create a catch 22, for families that have taken their children away, mostly, cause we're not rich, or influencial enough to handle our own.
When my siblings were taken away from my biological father, and his wife at the time.
By law they weren't *Required to notify anyone else besides the grandparents... Whom we're both growing older and sustaining more medical issues.
My grandmother passed away earlier this year2019. The last time she saw her grand kids was when the youngest just came out of diapers.
I believe, there is a huge lack and oversight missing from this entire system.
Wtf. People. So I need to right your wrongs?

"It's illegal to disclose identifying census information"
Yeah, see, that's nice and all, but our government at the moment is also _incredibly lawless_ . Spanky has taught us that he is not above breaking the law, and none of his goons are, either, so I could totally see why nobody finds reassurance in knowing whether it's legal or not to share that information. We're also alive during a time when it seems like EVERYbody is getting caught doing illegal shit, and walking away from it scot-free, because apparently American laws don't apply to those who are rich.

In Netherlands , Census is automated , as Wikipedia states : "The census that was planned for 1981 was postponed and later cancelled. A call for privacy was responsible for the cancellation of any further census since 1991. Censuses are being conducted by the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek since 1899. The censuses today are mostly (population, fiscal) register based, combined with surveying." All information are in Personal Records Database ( ).

I worked for the Census in 2010 and one house I visited, the guy kept me there for an hour just bitching that one, they only scared about the sp*cs in my town and that he didn't want his tax dollars going to paying for me to harass him. I remember leaving his porch and thinking "You gripe about how much this costs, and you made it cost just a little bit more." because that entire encounter was a billable hour.

I worked the 2010 Census in a site set up for that reason. A 73 yr old woman working in the field physically going door to door was killed by a pack of dogs. Another Census Worker was attacked by a man with an ax. A Census Worker was invited into a woman's home and had a gun pulled on him. Census work can be dangerous, there has always been a problem with illegal communities hiding and not wanting to be counted, but they want the social service benefits that participating in the Census count affords communities which produces a shortfall for all the needy, which is not fair in my opinion. But what trump and ross are doing is to out non-citizens, it is true none of the personal Census information on individuals can be reported to anyone for 72 are so funny John.

    • Pam Timmins
      Pam Timmins 11 days ago

@Stephen2462 you are missing the point of the Census they allocate funding for all states schools, social services, etc. If a city or state's citizens are miscounted that state loses funding for those services, so you have a family of illegals getting what services there are, they come first if of Latin or Hispanic descent. When I worked the Census it was 300 trillion dollars allocated to all states by citizen count over a ten year period. A correct count is important for every state getting a fair share to help there indigent and children population, helps pay school lunches, free breakfast, ebt, medical, and financial help for those in need. Don't lump me in with trump, but I do know about working for the Census and how important it is to have a correct count of all people in this country.

    • Stephen2462
      Stephen2462 11 days ago

Whether they participate in the census or not wouldn't effect their ability to receive benefits.
I'm not sure if you're co predicting yourself, or admitting you think Trump will do blatantly unetheical things with it.

Knowing that the plan all along was to use the census information to suppress minority votes is all the more reason for people not to trust it,you said it yourself, the census information by law is confidential, but further down the show you said it yourself that they were planning on using that same information to fuck with people's lives.....c'mon now John, only his supporters are dumb enough to trust him,no person in their right mind trusts this administration,no person with their mental state balanced is going to put their confidence and their trust in this administration,as long as this corrupt orange piece of shit is in the white house minorities and immigrants will never forget that they have to be looking over their shoulders.

  • XDigsX 13
    XDigsX 13 12 days ago

John no offense but it was against the law to use NSA surveillance on Americans as well,it was against the law to let the people of Flint drink water poisoned with led,it's against the law for a corrupt officer to kill unarmed people with absolutely no reason....many things are against the law but that doesn't mean the government won't do it or support those who do it.
So if you expect people to trust that the census information won't be seen or used by the government to deport people or jail them,I'm sorry but you're foolishly optimistic.
