    "Lesson Three:
When you want your viewers to feel like they are being punished, just upload a video to 'Steven He' channel without any bloopers. Your viewers will begin to question themselves, and wonder if they did something wrong. This can lead to crippling anxiety and craving other 'Steven He' videos with bloopers at the end to satisfy their need for validation.
    Guaranteed emotional damage."

Learning to drive from my dad years ago when I was a kid. He told me to keep both hands on the wheel because a tire could fall off and I needed to keep control of the car if it happened. Needless to say, I ALWAYS was worried about this. Told my husband this and he laughed and said the odds of this happening were so small. Talk about emotional damage. Shit your parents tell you when you are a kid sticks with you! ๐Ÿคฃ

My god, that just reminded me of this one time while I was staying with my dad in the middle of the pandemic. The dryer didn't work so he had to air dry the clothes. Since it was nice and warm, I wanted to air dry them outside instead of inside for once. Before I could, my dad decided to stop me and his reasoning was that I might get COVID on my clothes if I leave them out there. I gave up right there and then because of how absurd that sounded and just left them to dry inside.

@Abigail N oh, bro, no. Never. I dated an Asian lady and you can NEVER "forget the rice". It's every day. I only ever did it once. The first, and last, time I ever did. Her and the kids looked so mad and disappointed, like I took rover in the woods and came back alone. It's not even a joke. Do not forget the rice, _ever_ .
      Edit: typo
Edit edit: keep in mind, I made a full course Italian meal with home made Mac n cheese. It was the first time cooking for them, so i went a little overboard, trying to impress. I spared no expense, but no rice meant the rest of the meal was empty for them. They didn't know what to do without it on their plate, every day.

That always sucks. Do 5 things but forget the only thing they actually asked for us to to....and they always complain, instead of saying, "Oh, it's ok, you did enough today. Just take care of it tomorrow. Good work, son!", they say something like, "get out of my house, son, you're almost 40.".

The hair dryer to dry clothes is great. Although you should tie/close all openings but one and point the hair dryer through one opening so the air fills the thing and dries it more efficiently since the hot air will pass through the fabric meaning you use the hair dryer less so less electricity is used

Oh, that scene where Stephen is pondering if he forgot something is way too relatable...
One time, as a kid, my mom had asked me to do some odd chore in the house before leaving for work one day during summer vacation. I was half asleep when she asked this, but I gave some sort of acknowledgment and she went on her way. At one point in the day, after I was fully conscious, I legitimately asked if I was forgetting something important. I eventually concluded that I wasn't and went on my merry way until 5:00 rolled around. Upset, Mom reminded me of the chore and asked me why it hadn't been done. A smart child what have gone with the old standby "I forgot." Me, being the smart ASS that I was, responded that, "I just wasn't motivated enough." After pausing and contemplating what I had said, my mother removed the belt from her waist and responded, "Let me introduce you to your motivation."
(By the way, she told me years later that she was actually torn between being angry at the response and proud that I could think of it so quickly.)

When I was in high school, I became friends with a transfer student from HK.. Can confirm, this training is channeling his grandfather's spirit! That man's Failure Management (Emotional Damage) skills were on point... he was so skilled, even unassociated people 5 blocks away started to learn the piano!
I still have flashbacks of the over the top stories. Like this one time I went to go get my friend so we could hang out with our friends, and his grandfather told this story of how he had to hunt white tigers, in the winter at night, while carrying multiple buckets of water for his small village from a river 15km away... and as a reward, he was allowed to stop at the local hardware store to work for money to buy the monthly sacks of rice for the family (which also had to be carried with everything else)
To this day, I still feel like I'm not doing nearly enough for my family/friends whenever I want to go do something unproductive... lol

My father used the 'imaginary example' thing on me, I believed those for many years, and annoyingly he tried to still use it on me after I became adult.
Luckily those examples never worked on me even though I believed them because from childhood I acknowledge that no two people on earth have the same socio-economic situation, same probability of outcome, and same biology. So I always proceed with logic (as much as I can). That way I failed many times where others succeeded, also I succeeded many times where other failed, as I do not follow others example; successes and failures are part of life.

To maximize emotional damage in any situation I like to use my favorite phraseโ€ฆ โ€œThey shouldโ€™ve featured you on the biggest loserโ€.

I've had 2 asian friends that were lovely people. Once they took me to a Chinese restaurant, the staff and manager came over to talk to my 2 friends, they didn't even look at me or acknowledge me which was really hurtful. It's a shame asian people don't really integrate with other races.
