I keep holding out on getting the Fitbit. Waiting for the better option for fitness tracking. But it's obvious that Fitbit doesn't listen to their community. Great video, but I'll pass.

Im waiting for your iphone 11 and iphone 11 pro thoughts, i want to know if it deserves the "pro" name because to me it doesn't, a new camera shouldnt define a pro phone.

Still wearing my Pebble Time Steel. Still the best smartwatch on the market for me. 10 day battery, always on display, responsive OS, tons of apps, and still dutifully tracking my steps and sleep and serving up notifications. I was really hoping the Versa 2 would be the Fitbit device that finally incorporated all the great stuff they acquired from Pebble, but I guess I'm still waiting.

Yea. Thanks for reviewing at the Toughbook Michael as I been harassing you to check it out for the past year. You didn’t drop it onto the floor like you do with the flimsy thin ultrabooks which is why I thought the toughbook is a better fit for you. I figured it would have “the look” that you would like and it is used as a prop in Hollywood movies. Also, the Toughbook is mil-spec, hardened against radiation too.

The Ticwatch Pro is great because they finally added 1GB of RAM. I use my WearOS watch to listen to podcasts with an app called Wear Casts and all the older WearOS watches only had 512MB of RAM and it was frustrating to use with all the lag.

I don't have a smart watch, just a dumb watch, so I'm wondering why do watches like the ticwatch have numbers round the bezel? It's like a slide rule on an analogue chronograph or something, except it doesn't move so...

God, so many butthurt Pebble owners here begging for their Pebbles. Get over it already for fuck sake. I loved my Fitbit Charge HR and it was pivotal in my weightloss journey. But the piece of garbage broke about 4 years and I have been meaning to upgrade to a Versa. One thing you didn't cover MrMobile is the fact that FitBit Versa 1 has terrible reviews. People complain about its terribly syncing and quality wherein people spend minutes and hours trying to sync their Versa to the app or how their screens just came off and the heart rate count and step count is so off. I really thought it was time for me to upgrade to the Versa 2 now but seeing the type of reviews its getting and the bad reviews of the Versa has made me go for Apple Watch 5. The AW5 isn't the best fitness focussed smartwatch but its an overall good package.

Did LG use PERMANENT GLUE to make the battery unreplaceable again like they did on the G8? Because with that second screen -- which doesn't have a power source of its own -- a deliberate prevention of replacing the main battery would be a big middle finger to the consumer by LG. Also....WTF with the notch on the 2nd screen???

So you’re willing to carry a 4,5 pound laptop and 5+ xpacks or whatever they’re called but not a dongle? This is a ridiculous concept. You can literally carry a top spec MacBook Pro, or any other laptop for that matter, 1 or 2 usb c dongles with multiple ports, a battery pack and a usb blu-ray player and you’d still spend less money and carry less weight, not to mention you would be able to use all those things at once without having to connect and disconnect modules.

We used to have a Dell latitude E6430 semi rugged laptop that we used to carry under the passenger seat of our truck. (I worked for a surveying company and we use them mainly for GIS and instrument calibration). It's not as tough as toughbook but it still is pretty durable. It struggles to process real time data from drones so we replaced them with Thinkpad T480

The modular concept is hardly new - the NEC Versa had this (to a much lesser extent) back in the 90s, it was seen as a way to obtain broader use scenarios and to sell rather expensive accessories to existing customer bases. This level of modularity is more rare of course - but I think a key thing that has to come back is a machine that's focused on being great to use, not great for showing off. The old adage of "feels twice as big when it's open, feels half as big when it's closed" is a great one; HP did it with their underrated Omnibook 800CT series in the late 90s (with the popout mouse), I badly wanted one of those things.
